CHOCOLATE AND FARM TOUR
Walk to the farm to see hundreds of edible and medicinal plats part of our diet.
We will open and taste a fresh cacao pod and also other tropical fruits along the trail.
For thousands of years cacao has been with us. Learn the sacred uses indigenous had for it and how it was transformed in the sweet chocolate that we know today.
On a wood stove we will roast our cacao beans to then grind them the ancient way.
Did you know first chocolate drinks where bitter? We will mix grinded cacao seeds with spices to give our body and soul a high doses of medicinal properties. After, we will enjoy a sweet hot chocolate drink as it was transformed by modern society.
At the end, we will mold chocolate bars made with our own cacao. Healthy toppings will be available for you to use all of your CHOCOLATIER skills.

FARM TO TABLE COOKING EXPERIENCE
We will walk around the family farm and gardens to know where the products we will cook come from. We will taste tropical fruits along the hike.

Before we start cooking, we will have fun in making sugar cane juice with an interesting artefact called Trapiche.
​
We will cook it in a woodstove to give it the special flavor that distinguish it from any modern flavor.
​
Surrounded by nature and listening to bird songs we will enjoy this delicious lunch.

ARTESAL WINE EXPERIENCE WITH DON RAFAEL
Welcome to a very traditional Tico house where you will feel the essence of Pura Vida!
​
We will explain you all what is behind every bottle of wine, we are focused in collecting all local tropical fruits not been used and TURN THEM INTO WINE. Before we start with the process of making wine we will taste the fresh fruits to see the flavor before and once been wine.
​
Right after we will show you the process making our wine, of course, tasting them!
Once you have choosen your favorite one, we will just sit and relax and enjoy it with some fresh local cheese, dark chocolate, fruits and of course the company of some family.
​
Before you leave, we will show you some Tico traditions guided by Giselle, Don Rafael's wife who is a MAESTRA in making natural condiments, pastes, medicines and more from local sources, lots of them from their house garden.
